That's Not Studios

Casting call · Bangkok · Manila

Now casting the first company.

We're looking for on-camera performers for a monthly retainer: product and lifestyle video for US brands, shot by you, edited and published by us. You keep your feed, your credit and your portfolio.

What the work is

Short-form video to a written brief. We send the brief, the product arrives, you shoot, you upload. Then we take over.

You shoot

On your phone, in your space, to a numbered brief with the beats and the tone spelled out. Typically 30 to 90 seconds of finished video per piece.

We direct

Notes come back the same day. If a take needs another pass, you'll know exactly what to change and why.

We edit and publish

Captions, branding, disclosure labels and posting are ours. You never manage a schedule or a comment section.

You're credited

Your name and city appear on screen as a That's Not Studios performer. You may use every finished video in your reel.

The terms

Everything below is written into the agreement before you shoot anything.

  • A monthly retainer in USDA fixed number of videos a month for a fixed fee, paid on the 1st through Wise. The amount is in your offer letter, not negotiated after the work.
  • No fees, everWe never ask performers to pay for anything: no application fee, no training fee, no equipment purchase. Anyone asking for money in our name is not us.
  • Your feed stays yoursBrand videos post on the brand's channels, not on your accounts. Nothing we make is required on your personal profiles.
  • Credit and portfolioYou are named on screen, and you may use the finished work in your portfolio and reel.
  • Usage rights, priced inThe retainer includes the brand's use of the footage in paid advertising. That's stated plainly in the agreement, not buried.
  • A path to filmWe're building an independent film slate for 2027–28. The company is the first place we cast from.

Who we're looking for

Comfortable in English on camera

The audience is in the United States. Accents are welcome; hesitation reads on screen.

Able to take direction

You'll get specific notes. The performers who thrive here enjoy that.

A phone and a quiet, well-lit space

No studio needed. Natural light and a clean background are enough for most briefs.

Reliable

Deadlines are part of the brief. A retainer is a commitment on both sides.

How to apply

One email, two short tapes. No forms, no fees. The second tape isn't a test of polish; it tells us who you are on camera when nobody has written the lines.

Record two 60-second self-tapes

Phone, vertical, natural light. First: tell us your name and city, then present a product you already own as if we'd sent it. Second, unscripted: show us something you love. A hobby, a place in your city, something you make or do. Take us there rather than telling us about it to camera.

Email them to casting

Send a link (Google Drive, Dropbox or similar) to casting@thatsnotstudios.com with your name, city and any social handles you'd like us to see. Handles are optional.

Hear back within a week

Everyone who applies gets an answer. If it's a yes, you'll receive an offer letter with the retainer, the deliverables and the full agreement to review before you sign.

Applications are read by the founder. We do not ask for identification documents, bank details or personal information until a signed agreement is in place, and we never ask for payment.
